Bath: Day 1
While the day started in rainy London, it ended on a perfectly peaceful and sunny note in Bath.
-
London Town
I finally made it to England! How it was coming over here, staying the night in London, and getting some rest before I head off to Bath.

Sabbatical Planning – Part 2
Everything is booked and ready and I’m now 10 days out from my European vacation. I thought I’d share my budget, how I planned on what I was going to do, and everything in between.
-
Swing of Things
It’s just…been awhile. Updates on being back in the US, being back at my old site at work, being back to hourly instead of salary, and getting ready for my sabbatical.

Antici……pation
Weeks Four and Five definitely saw things turn around. I’d be lying if I said the rough patches were behind me, but sometimes having something to look forward to helps turn things around.

One Hell of a Drug
I’ll start by saying I’m not writing this or sharing this because I want to worry anyone or stress anyone out (I’m talking to you, Mom). I’m writing this because I need to. To put it lightly, this has been no cake walk. (Heads Up: I have a song that’ll play when you read the rest of this. Felt it was appropriate.)

Tuk Tuk Goose
Week One: First week of work, first week of Chennai, first week of jet lag, first week of adjustments.
-
Hop, Skip, and a Jump
I did it! I made it to India. After nearly 29 hours of travel, I made it half way around the world. Life will definitely be different for the next 7 weeks, but I am so ready for the challenge.

Another Passport Stamp
When destiny calls you, you must be strong I may not be with you, but you got to hold on Now that I’m less than a month away, I think it’s finally safe to share. I’m going to India! I’ll be there for almost 2 months, from May 4th to June 23rd. I’ll be going for work so most of my time will be occupied with that, however I’m incredibly excited! With this and my sabbatical all in one year, it’s definitely the year of change. And with change comes fear. And insecurities. And doubt. But I have decided that my word of 2018 is going to BRAVE. Destiny…

Sabbatical Planning – Part 1
I’m working hard to make sure I’m not letting my sabbatical go to waste. I’m crossing some things off my bucket list, I’m seeing new sights, and I’m planning on doing nothing some days. I worked hard to earn these six weeks off, and I wanted to make sure that I’m getting everything I can out of this. It’s a struggle when you want to travel all around the world, but you’re tied to a Monday through Friday job. I’ve finally got my shot, and I’m going to make the most out of it.
